Hi Carol,

After some more-or-less succesful use of Skype, Breeze/Connect, FCSchat, etc. I've got high hopes on DimDim, seems well backed up, and got 6mln of funding to make it work. Flash based, so easy to use from within your browser. Just hope it is quick and stable enough...

Cheers,

Hello,
I bought your online books(3). UI did not get a chance to print them. My printer ran out of ink. Can you help me get my three copies of your book (online books).

Thanks,
Jackie Bruce

I teach Stage 6 Beginners Japanese via video conferencing and smartboard links (using Bridgit). I am the sole teacher at both campuses.

I am teaching across 2 campuses this year and am loving it!

Students are enjoying this style of learning and it is having a positive impact upon achievement of outcomes.

We have also made a class PB wiki page to enhance the experience of cross-campus learning. We upload all our resources, official stuff and important links. Students communicate this way with me between classes.

I would love to think more and more people will take on this option of teaching languages as it makes sense, and is lots of fun. It is agreat way to ensure lanugage learning stays alive.

I am getting ready for my workshop in the morning at NECC 2008 in San Antonio and just checked my reader and found this post!

Carol, you really have to see Shane do this with teachers... it is so funny and in our 123VC training he partners with Christina and Rich from Kigluait and it is HILARIOUS when "Rudoloph" and the sled dogs get into their debate about who really pulls Santa's sleigh!

Hi, Carol,

This program is highly interactive. We began the program to meet a need from our schools for quality interactive programs for PreK-1st grade students (ages 3-6). He asks the students questions and then has them sing with him. The students have to mute their microphones during the singing due to the echo/delay in the audio.

Shane will be one of the IVC Showcase sessions at NECC 2008 in San Antonio on Monday, June 30 from 12:30-1:00 PM.

To see another example, visit www.edlink12.net/sws and click Example.

Enjoy!

YugmaTM believes that web collaboration is for everyone, not just people in large companies. We also believe good ideas deserve to be shared, regardless of resources or geographic location. These two beliefs drove us to create an easy-to-use, affordable web collaboration service that works on Windows, Mac and Linux. It is our hope that Yugma will help you to share your ideas, learn more, stay connected with friends and family, feel the need to fly to fewer meetings, and have a more successful business.
