About
Carol Skyring (Formerly Carol Daunt), Emerging Technologies Specialist, Broadreach Services
I’m an experienced educator and businesswoman who has been involved in the design, application and effective use of eCollaboration since 1986. I was Founder & CEO of LearnTel from 1997 until November 2010. LearnTel has amalgamated its operations with Broadreach Services where I am now the Emerging Technologies Specialist.
I hold a Dip T; Grad Dip Dist Ed; B Ed & M Ed (Research) – my thesis investigated the nature of interaction in videoconferencing. I’m currently undertaking an Education Doctorate to investigate the use of microblogging for professional learning (see wiki). I’m regularly published in numerous journals and am a frequent speaker at international conferences. (Access these papers & articles.)
I hold positions on, and am an active member of, numerous industry panels, boards and committees. You can read more about me here.
