On April 30th, from 13:00-18:00 GMT-7, High school students from around the world, indigenous and non-indigenous, urban and ruralĀ  Southern and Northern Hemispheres, are uniting, via Video Conference, to draw awareness and share information about the impact of Climate on their Indigenous communities.

From the jungles of Nicaragua to the ice fields of Alaska, Climate Change is changing the way of life and threatening the very existence of many towns, communities and entire nations. During these five hours, high school students will collaborate with each other and with experts/elders from their communities and local universities to talk about what is going on in their back yards.

Leading up to the event on April 30th, students will be collaborating over the Global Interactive Student Portal. This tool incorporates a variety of Web 2.0 tools, from a Facebook-like application, to help students develop relationships, to multiple chat rooms and academic forums.
