This comes form the wonderful Terry Godwaldt at the Centre for Global Education in Edmonton, Canada.

Join the World! as we work together to raise $50 000 to help build a school for the children Guatemala.

On Wednesday, November 5th, students from around the Globe, in partnership with Polycom and Change for Children, will gather via Video Conference to help raise awareness and funds for the building of a school for disadvantaged children in Guatemala.

This year’s program will differ from year’s past in that every school will connect directly with the students in Guatemala but will only be able to connect for one session in the day. Over the course of this day, from 08:00-16:00 (MT), schools from almost every continent on earth will connect to each other and a remote satellite connection in the hills of Guatemala, developing relationship and examining the impact of Globalization.

Each school can register for one session, tailored to their age group: Elementary, Middle School, or High School. Download the Registration Form (Word doc) and the Program Description (Word doc).

Through this fundraiser event, we hope to raise over $50 000 for Change for Children, towards the building of a school in Guatemala.

Read more & register soon – there are limited spaces – to increase interactivity and age appropriate content!!!

It would be great to have another school from Australia join for part of the day!
