Top Ten Tips for Presenters

These tips come from Larry Tracy - “An extraordinarily effective speaker”. Although they are for face-to-face presentations, there is a lot to learn here for videoconference presentations. Larry’s tips are:
- Have a specific objective
- Know your audience’s problems, needs and concerns
- Structure backwards
- Practice solo with tape-recorder or video-camera
- Practice with colleague, friend or spouse
- Convene Murder Board practice session
- Arrive early to meet and greet
- Use visuals to support, not to impress
- Employ rhetorical devices
- Conduct immediate post-presentation analysis
